BCI's Very Merry Christmas Party
Bible Church International-Marikina held its annual Christmas Party last December 22, 2013. After the worship service, our program started with the giving of White Christmas (every member's gift from the heart for Jesus that is dropped to the basket according to one's month of birth). Sister Sharon Fajardo and Brother Jason Tuazon facilitated the fun parlor games where every participant's competitive side emerged.
The jolly atmosphere escalated as the raffle prizes were drawn one by one. Prizes include perfumes, bags, powerbanks, earphones, tent and free camp tickets. The grand prize, an acoustic guitar, was won by Sister Mitch Paragas. We temporarily forget our diets (bahala na kung ma-high blood at tumaas ang blood sugar) as we indulge in the delicious foods prepared by the members of WOW (Women of Worship). Everybody enjoyed the food, the stories and the laughter shared among them. Indeed it was a very merry Christmas!

Children's Christmas Party
The children's Christmas Party was held last December 14, 2013. About 150 kids from Sunday school and outreaches from our five different centers attended the said party. Everyone enjoyed the heart-warming special numbers from each centers, the parlor games, the story-telling about Jesus' birth, the delicious food and the gift-giving.
We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who donated toys and money for the prizes. Thank you to the members of WOW (Women of Worship) who cooked the spaghetti. Lastly, thanks to the volunteer teachers for helping in the program and for dedicating their time and efforts for teaching these children. To God be the Glory!

BCIM's Strategic Planning
November 30, 2013 was a hectic day for BCI Marikina. It was
the day E12 leaders and heads of the different ministries convened for the much
anticipated Church’s strategic planning. Pastor Eugene Recerone commenced the
program with an opening prayer. It was followed by singing songs led by Kuya BJ
Adecer. Sister Cathy Uson facilitated the ice breaker. Pastor Eugene’s
challenge that morning talked about the importance of planning and maintaing the
church’s vision. After that, Brother Rannen Darroca asked every ministry to
come up with their mission, vision and desired results for 2014.

This was followed by Sister Cathy’s report regarding the
different big and small blessings the church received in the year 2013. This
includes various programs in and out of the church (Be Careful With My Heart
love fellowship, AMEN and WOW’s outing at Pranjetto Hills), events (Church’s 19th
anniversary, Junior Camp, Medical Mission), equipment (new television and sound
system) just to name a few.

Everyone voiced out their opinions in the SWOT (Strengths,
Weakness, Opportunities and Threats) analysis regarding the church’s
performance. Then, Pastor Eugene presented the long-range plan of the church up
to year 2020. He highlighted the church’s “fishing nets” or focuses namely the
campus ministry, the camp ministry, the community ministry and the children
ministry. After that, each ministry presented their respective plans for 2014.

Lastly, Sister Nieves Darroca discussed the importance of strategic planning to
the success of their company, C&E Publishing Inc., as well as its importance to the growth
of BCI Marikina. Thank you to everyone who attended this event. Hope to see you
next year. Let us do everything for the glory of God!

Youth Assembly
Last Sunday, November 24, 2013, BCI Marikina held its
monthly assembly entitled “Hesukristo: God With Us.” Around 90 youth and young
professionals of BCI Marikina and BCI Cogeo and some invited guests gathered
for the said event. Kuya Bon Principe and Ate Alecx Are, the hosts, warmly
welcomed everyone while the Praise team energetically led everybody in singing songs.
Ate Sarah Garcia and Ate Joy Tuazon facilitated the “Sabay-sabay Tumayo” ice
breaker and the charades relay game that everyone enjoyed. Kuya Pau Briones’
and Pastor Russell Coles’ E12 offered heart-warming songs for the special
number.
Pastor Russell’s message that afternoon is very timely for this season - the prophesied birth of Jesus Christ. You must not miss the continuation of his message so please attend the second part of the assembly on Dec. 15. Yummy refreshments were served by Ate Sharon Fajardo’s E12. Everyone went home with happy hearts and full stomachs. See you next youth assembly!
