Juniors Camp

BCI Marikina successfully held its Juniors’ camp at the BCI parsonage at Buntong Palay, San Mateo, Rizal with the theme, “Galactic Blast! A Cosmic Adventure Praising God” on April 18-20. Around 85 juniors and counselors participated in the said event.
(April 18) The registration started at around 8:30 am while the program officially started at 10 am. Sister Sharon Fajardo, the camp directress, and YES president Bro. Kyle de Guzman warmly welcomed everyone and reminded the campers about the camp’s rules and guidelines. Then, YES members energetically led the participants in singing songs. There were three teams; Red Sun, Blue Moon, and Yellow Star. Pastor Russell Coles shared the creation story to the children (Mission 1). After that, Sister Sarah Garcia facilitated the arts and crafts depicting the creation. In the afternoon, the campers played games and practiced for the contests at night namely Commercial Skit, Solo and Duet.

Thanks to the members of WOW (Women of Worship) for their yummy breakfast. Then, Pastor Russell preached about the Samaritan woman at the well (Mission 3) during the morning session. For their crafts, each children were given a template of a well that they need to color and then assemble.

In the afternoon, Sister Clowie Adecer facilitated the Bible Quiz. It showed who listened to the previous preaching and lessons. Then, various games followed: ball relay, the juniors went to market, tug-of-wheel, pass the buko ball, basketball, and the Warrior Race. Last April 1-4, a Vacation Bible School was held at various centers (Brgy. Fortune, Concepcion, Sta. Barbara Vill. and Cogeo) with the theme, "Galactic Blast! A Cosmic Adventure Praising God." Almost 200 children were able to participate in this activity. They learned new songs, heard stories about God, did some crafts and gained new friends.
