Mothers' Day Celebration

Last May 11, 2014, we gave tribute to all of the loving mothers at BCI Marikina. Forty mothers were present in this event. After Pastor Eugene's message regarding the mother's role inside the home, a short program followed with brother Aron Tuazon and Sister Iya Are as the hosts. The program started with a short video presentation honoring and thanking our mothers. Then, the AMEN (ang mga tatay) sang a touching song for them. The heartwarming messages from the youth followed, all thanking their mothers for their love, care and support. Selected praise team members also offered a special number. After this, the mothers were given colorful abanikos as a simple token of this event. They were treated to a hearty lunch cooked by AMEN.

BCI Marikina's 20th Anniversary

Bible Church Iinternational Marikina celebrated its 20th anniversary last April 27, 2014 with the theme "Dalawang Dekada ng Kadakilaan at Katapatan ng Diyos." Almost 250 persons gathered to celebrate God's goodness in our church and to the lives of its members. BCIM's daughter churches namely BCI Cogeo, BCI Angono and Faith Bible Church came.

After the heartfelt praise and worship led by Team Gratitude Brother Edwin Briones said the opening prayer. The hosts, Brother Rannen Darroca and Sister Nieves Darroca, interviewed the pastors for our church's history. They asked Reverend Eugene Recerone to share our church's humble beginnings. Pastor Boyet Adecer and Pastor Mike Tan reminisce the unforgettable experiences that they had with the church while Pastor Frank Casipit decicated a song to BCIM.

Then, Reverend Eugene presented the State of the Church Address for the year 2013 with the theme "Diligent to Maintain Distinction." He summarized the different events and blessings that the church received for that year. He also encouraged everyone to strive to attain BCIM's goal for 2014, "Determined to Reach Our Dream." He also gave certificates of recognition to the leaders of the different ministries.

Sisters Hannah and Mabel Recerone, Brother Elijah Tan, Sunday school children and Brother Rannen and Pastor Frank gave special numbers. Sister Josie Galapon and Brother Bon Principe shared their testimony regarding how God touched and transformed their lives. Congressman Marcy Teodoro came to send his greetings to BCIM and to share his testimony as well. Selected members of YES (Youth Enjoying Service) to Christ performed a short skit showing how God guided a boy in his athletic journey.

Reverend Eugene closed the program by thanking everyone who came and reminded each one of us to continue to live for God even in times of trouble. After this, foods cooked by members of WOW (Women of Worship) were served. As we enjoy the yummy foods, certificates of appreciation were also presented to the families of BCIM for supporting the church's ministries.

Thanks to our pastors and church workers for their unwavering patience, hard work and support as they minister to us. Thanks to the church members and to everyone who supported us, encouraged us and prayed for us as we strive to follow God's will. Most of all, thanks be unto God for strengthening us through problems and also for showering us with blessings all these years. May BCI Marikina continue to grow as a church by God's grace and guidance.
