E12 Sunday

September 28, BCI held its quarterly E12 Sunday where a small program was held to celebrate the milestones of God's E12 discipleship program. Sister Sally Recerone and Sister Marlyn Valdez hosted the said program. The E12 leader (men) and E12 leader (women) offered two special numbers. Brother Arman Tuazon and her daughter, Sister Joy Tuazon, shared their testimonies regarding the blessings that they received when they started their respective discipleship program. Some prizes were also awarded to the E12 group with biggest offering, most fruitful E12 and the E12 with the most members.

Youth Assembly: Five Love Languages Part 2

Last September 28, part two of youth assembly "Five Love Languages" was held. Ninety-five youth and young professionals from Marikina, Cogeo and San Mateo attended the said event. The program was hosted by Ate Sassy Recerone and Clowie Adecer. To break the ice, Kuya Son Tuazon and Kuya Bon Principe facilitated the charades game where every one enjoyed acting out each words. Ate Joy Cedillo and Ate Alyssa Lagmay sang "Always Enough" for the special number song number.

Based on Dr. Chapman's book the The 5 Love Languages, Pastor Russell discussed about the different ways of showing our love to others. They're as follows: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch. Every person feels uniquely loved in one of these ways. According to the concept, the way you feel loved is also the way you show love. For example, if Words of Affirmation is your love language, a positive verbal gesture like "Good job!" will inspire you more than receiving expensive gifts. Pastor Russell said that theses languages aren't solely for romantic relationships but translate to friendships and parent/child relationships, too.

The audience were asked to answer a one page questionnaire so that they will learn their love language. They were also given a bookmark as a souvenir of the educational talk. Ate Kate Paragas' E12 prepared the yummy merienda.
