Childrens' Assembly

Last August 9, 16 and 23, the C.A.R.E ministry held a children's assembly in different communities around Marikina and San Mateo area with the aim of reaching out to the kids residing in those places. We visited Concepcion, Fortune and Buntong Palay respectively. Around 120 children participated in the said event.

Each program is started with a prayer and then followed by singing action songs led by Ate Sharon. After this, there is a story-telling by Pastor Russell (Concepcion) and Pastor Eugene (Parang and Buntong Palay). Pastor Russell shared the life of Timothy as an obedient boy to his mother and grandmother. Pastor Eugene shared the story of how a young boy with 5 breads and 2 fishes became a hero by sharing his foods to feed thousands of people. Both stories are aiming to teach the children how to share Jesus Christ with their friends and classmates. Then, some children also gave a special number. Beginners, primary, and juniors all had a good time playing Trip to Jerusalem, Arrange Yourselves and the Boat is Sinking. We quenched our thirst by drinking ice cold juice and eating yummy bread after the program. Plus the kids are able to take home bags of goodies.

We want to extend our appreciation to everyone who gave their time and talent to make this event happen. To the volunteer teachers, youth and to those who let us use their houses as our venue, thank you! See you next time! To God be the Glory.

Do you share Jesus Christ with your neighbors? It's never too late to start.
